Liaison with Parents

We believe strongly that a good partnership between parents and school is vital for our children and we are keen to involve parents in our school life. Effective two-way communication between home and school is essential.  Notes can be made in your child's individual reading record which should be brought into school each day.  A 'Meet and Greet' system to welcome children each morning enables messages to be taken by the senior leader on the door and passed to the relevant member of staff.  For urgent matters, someone will always be able to talk to you and a meeting arranged with your child's teacher as soon as possible.  We can also arrange to have a telephone conversation with you.

Parents receive a weekly newsletter which gives up-to-date information on school events - these are emailed out on a Friday each week.  Other letters relating to specific classes or children are sent home as the need arises.  Please check your emails frequently!

Parent/teacher consultations take place twice a year; this is an opportunity for you to discuss your child's progress and review targets.  Parents receive a full school report at the end of the Summer Term.  In addition, staff are always willing to discuss progress with parents at a mutually convenient time throughout the year.
