Safeguarding

The staff at Ringstead Church of England Primary School fully recognise the contribution that they make to safeguarding children. We recognise that all staff and volunteers have a full and active part to play in protecting our pupils from harm. Our school procedures for safeguarding children are in line with Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Board (NSCB).

We want to work collaboratively with families to ensure the best possible care for your child/children. If situations arise that cause us concern, we will refer to the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub.

Our prime concern is always the well-being of our children and, if we act, it is to protect the individual.

You can find a copy of our Safeguarding Policy on our Policies page

Safeguarding Lead

Every school is required to have a Designated Safeguarding Lead and at Ringstead Church of England Primary School this is Mrs Helen Roberts (Headteacher) and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Mrs Sarah Marlow (Assistant Headteacher) and Mrs Suzanna Cox (Family Support Worker).

Safeguarding Team (ID 1047)

All Safeguarding leads can be contacted via the school telephone number 01933 622734.

What to do if you have concerns about a child or family

Speak with one of the safeguarding leads at school. Any child in need, or at risk of significant harm will be reported to Mrs Roberts in the first instance and she will contact the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub if appropriate. In the event of the absence of Mrs Roberts, any child in need will be referred to Mrs Marlow or Mrs Cox who can be contacted via the school telephone number 01933 622734.

You will always be informed if the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub has been contacted unless by doing so, it is considered to be placing your child at risk.

You can contact Northamptonshire Children's Trust Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0300 126 3000 / 7000 or report a concern online.

If it is an emergency and you think that a child may be in immediate danger, please contact the emergency services directly by calling 999. If you need to contact MASH urgently during the evening, at night or at the weekend, please phone the MASH out-of-hours team on 01604 626 938.

For further information, please see a full copy of our Safeguarding Policy.

What to do if you have concerns about an adult

If you have concerns in relation to an adult's behaviour at school,  please in the first instance contact Mrs Roberts (DSL) who will be happy to meet and discuss your concerns.

If you have further concerns regarding an adult's behaviour then please contact the North Northamptonshire Designated Officer.

E-mail: You can e-mail your query to LADOConsultations@nctrust.co.uk and a Designated Officer will get back to you as soon as they are able to.

Phone: You can contact the Designated Officer for North Northamptonshire, Sheila Kempster on 07831 123193 or for West Northamptonshire, Andy Smith on 07850 854309.
