Governors

This is my fourth year as a governor and my second year as Chair of Governors.

I work for the Diocese of Peterborough as the Stewardship Officer, which involves helping churches in the Diocese to increase their income.

I’m married to Shona who is a Deputy Head Teacher and have two sons in their twenties.

I enjoy coaching basketball, playing music and leading worship and I’m a Northampton Saints season ticket holder.

I’m passionate about ensuring that all of our children have the best education we can possibly offer them and I firmly believe we are on our way to achieving that goal!

Paul Adams

Chair of Governors / Chair of Finance Committee  / Ethos Committee Member (Foundation Governor) / LAC Governor / Safeguarding Governor

If you wish to contact Mr Adams you can do so via the school office.

I moved to Ringstead just over 10 years ago. I believe that it is important to have a strong and vibrant school at the heart of the local community.

I have had the pleasure to act as a governor in many capacities and have seen the school develop into a good school with a strong Christian ethos.

My working background is based on senior leadership roles in financial services.

I want to contribute to the continued development of the school with a particular focus on pupils progress.

Mr Adrian Brigginshaw

Vice Chair of Governors / Co-opted Governor / Chair of Raising Standards Committee

Mr Andrew Bratt

Parent Governor

I am delighted to take up my Governor role at Ringstead Primary, I am currently a Year Leader and Mentor at another school in Northamptonshire and, having been a teacher now for 20 years, I hope that my experience can prove useful as a member of the Governing body. I wanted to become a governor because I am mum to two children and I want them to have the opportunity to thrive at Ringstead Primary. I am passionate about helping young people achieve their potential through education and ensuring youngsters have the best opportunities to succeed whilst growing into responsible and caring individuals. I enjoy playing a role in the life of the school and hope to collaborate with the teaching staff to ensure that all pupils enjoy a very positive learning experience.

Mrs Michelle Howes

Co-opted Governor

After moving to Northamptonshire just over two years ago, I thoroughly enjoyed my time working at Ringstead School and wanted to continue to support the school by becoming a governor. It is great that I am still able to work alongside the Ringtsead community. Coming back for meetings and visits is definitely a highlight of mine!

I have been a teacher for over eight years in a range of different schools, plus I have had the pleasure of being a senior leader for the last five years. All of the wonderful experiences I have gained through my teaching/leadership roles, enable me to fulfil my governor role.

During my spare time, you will find me exploring the local countryside with my husband and dog. We are so lucky with the beautiful surroundings we have.

I am looking forward to the year ahead at Ringstead CofE Primary School!
